Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time.
When someone close to us dies, the ache that we experience is not a virus or a infection from which we recuperate. It is a transformation with which we must learn to live.
With the passing away of our child, our spouse, or our sibling we are required to do the "unbearable": to set up a new life and establish a "new normal" in a world that no longer includes that loved person.
The heightened feelings that you are presently going through are expected under the situation. But please have faith that as difficult as it is to believe, you will not always feel this devastating and all intense grief.
As for now, you must deal with the natural feelings of your soul and allow your heart to grieve. This grief can't be skirted over, around or under. You must go through it in order to come out on the other side.
Be gentle and patient with yourself and your family. Allow yourself to cry, to grieve, and to retell your story as often as needed and for as long as you need to.
